Discontinued App

Description

Carbon Cast is a must have news app for all carbon, climate change and environmental professionals as well as students learning about global warming and carbon management. Using some neat technology, I have mixed newsfeeds from well respected climate change news sites and aggregators into 6 targeted newsfeeds in the following categories: •Science •Policy •Market •Green Biz •CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) •REDD (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation) It's important to note that the value is in searching, organising and grouping relevant headlines. All content and copyright belong to its respective owners. News sources include the Guardian, Grist, United Nations Framework Committee on Climate Change (UNFCCC), ClimateChangeNew.org, carbonnews.co.nz, ClimateNet, Ends Carbon, Climate Biz, Environment Leader, Business Green, Inside Renewable Energy, REDD Monitor, UN-REDD, REDD Plus, New Scientist, Scientific America and many more. This will save you plenty of time searching different sites looking for relevant articles. Everything is organised in one place. You will need Internet to read the articles but they can be saved for offline reading. In addition, the app includes 5 tabs which helps you to fully understand the climate change debate, who are the major players in this industry as well as the latest tweets and photo media. It is perfect for students and professionals just entering this area. The five tabs are: Players: this tab shows you on a global map who and where are the major players in the carbon industry, including project developers, policy institutions, carbon credit buyers and financiers. If you represent an organisation in this space, feel free to contact me to be added. Videos: this shows a collection of lectures from eminent professors from Stanford University, Columbia University and Manchester University covering major areas of carbon and climate change. It’s an excellent source of 101 Climate Change. Contact me for video suggestions. Twitter: live feed from different organisations covering climate change and carbon markets. Photos: a live photos feed from the UNFCCC (United National Framework on Climate Change). All copyright of photos belongs to UNFCCC. Contact: a screen where you can contact me with feedback and suggestions. Note that Internet is required to access most of the functionalities.
