Cornell Lab Bird Q&A makes learning about birds fun. Find the answers to the questions you have about birds, and learn more about bird identification and behavior at the same time. Based on real questions asked of our experts, the app includes hundreds of common and not so common questions with easy to follow answers for birders and non-birders alike from The Cornell Lab of Ornithology. WARNING: You will need either a iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 or latest generation iPod Touch (with camera) to install this app. WARNING: This is not a field guide or a reference guide. You will find a wealth of information, but it is not organized by bird/territory. Explore by category, or have the app choose a random Q&A for you. There are questions with answers in twelve categories including: Cool facts, Watching birds, Feeding birds, Bird songs, Behavior, Migration and more! Sample questions include: •How fast do birds fly? •Why do geese fly in a V? •How do birds know when to migrate? •How can I prevent squirrels from raiding my bird feeder? •Is it OK to feed bread to birds? •How many songs can a bird sing? The app has a full screen slideshow mode with more than 500 images of common and rare birds and hundreds of bird songs. The app has 3 different quiz modes: •A fact based quiz •An image id quiz •A sound id quiz The sound and image id quizzes have three levels: novice, skilled and hotshot. The first fact based quiz has 45 questions in total, with each quiz serving 10 questions randomly. The sound and image id quizzes have thousands of possibilities. The quizzes are optimized for learning. They allow you to make second and third choice and provide feedback even for wrong answers.
