Because the articles printed in Free Talk were always bordered with a fringed decoration, Lin Mo satirized them as fringed literature. The collection is thusly titled Fringed Literature, a wonderful pun, no doubt. About the Author Lu Xun was the pen name of Zhou Shuren (1881-1936) and he also had Yucai as his adult courtesy name. Lu was a native of Shaoxing, Zhejiang. He is one of the greatest writers, thinkers, and revolutionists in modern Chinese literature. He is also considered the backbone of the May 4th Movement. His representative works are: A Madman's Diary (colloquial fiction), The True Story of Ah Q (novella), Dawn Blossoms Plucked at Dusk (collected essays of recollections), Call to Arms and Wandering (a collection of short stories). _______________________________________ Beijing DFHL Company is a Beijing-based developer of Chinese and English language learning tools.
