His Last Bow (1917) – A collection of eight Sherlock Holmes stories published by Arthur Conan Doyle between 1908 and 1913. The collection was originally called Reminiscences of Sherlock Holmes and did not contain the actual story His Last Bow, which appeared later, after the full-length The Valley of Fear was published. His Last Bow is the fourth in a set of five volumes containing these intriguing short adventures. Look for other Standard Works titles such as The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes, The Return of Sherlock Holmes, and The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes – as well as Doyle’s four Holmes novels: The Hound of the Baskervilles, A Study in Scarlet, The Sign of the Four, and The Valley of Fear. Contained in this volume: • The Adventure of Wisteria Lodge • The Adventure of the Cardboard Box • The Adventure of the Red Circle • The Adventure of the Bruce-Partington Plans • The Adventure of the Dying Detective • The Adventure of Lady Frances Carfax • The Adventure of the Devil’s Foot • His Last Bow (told in the third person) His Last Bow uses the established Standard Works book reader already enjoyed by tens of thousands of users.
