This is an quick pipe pressure drop calculation tool for water and general fluids for engineering professionals and college students. With the easy exchange button selection between differnt metric and imperial units, It can also be used as a convenient unit converter for various flow properties such as length, volume and mass flow rates, density and pressure etc. The input of this tool is well self explained. For water flow, all your inputs are flow rate, temperature, which will calculate the relative density and viscosity automatically, and pipe physical parameters including pipe diameter, length and surface roughness. Output of the tool includes pressure drop. Density, viscosity, Reynolds number, velocity and volume flow rate are all calculated for your reference. For general fluids, viscosity and density are explicitily specified as inputs. Turbulence and laminar flow was automatically switched based on Reynolds number while in turbulent region Colebrook equation is employed to calculate the friction factor.
