Description

SLC: for Lord of the Flies is designed for the GHS 9th Grade SLC Literary Styles class. It uses Panafold’s unique attractor technology to give students a deep understanding of key terms and concepts.   SLC: for Lord of the Flies introduces high school students to William Golding’s themes through an exploration of the writer’s vocabulary. It challenges students through multi-touch exploration on their iPads.   Students can easily email an image of their work to you or a parent directly from the App.  In this 1.0 Release, your students will explore 15 units of vocabulary from the novel, plus two word packs containing pertinent literary terms.  Students will be challenged to practice and learn vocabulary while they see their key course terms appear in current articles. Once students complete a word pack, they solve a Common Core influenced “challenge” such as “Reflect on rules enforced by peers” and “What character fits a scapegoat archetype?” This App is part of a suite of Panafold products. You may also like to try: Introduction to Plant Biology; Connections: Romeo and Juliet; or Power of Words SAT (SAT and Critical Reading vocabulary).  Visit panafold.com/educators to learn how to order a custom app or iBook with your own humanities or STEM curriculum. Feedback is always welcome!
