Over the many years that I have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, I have had visitors that were visiting for a limited amount of time and wanted to see as many sites as possible. Many visit The City for business and only have a day or two to be tourists. It is possible to take various bus tours but those can be pricey and you don't really see all the sites you came to see. There is The 49 Mile Drive but it is easy to get lost and it can't really be done in just one day. There are plenty of other apps available for San Francisco visitors but most of them will just tell you what the major sites are but don't give you a route to see them efficiently or let you know where you can find something to eat along the way or find a bathroom. My app is not for booking a hotel or making reservations at restaurants, although those features may be added at a later time. What it does do is take you step by step to the icons of The City. You will start at the 5th and Mission Garage in downtown San Francisco. The app will tell you each step to take with a picture so you will know if you are in the right place. My tour has been developed through many years of playing tour guide to family, friends and associates and I am happy to share it with you for this nominal price of 99 cents. I have been in love with San Francisco since I first arrived in the Summer of Love. The tour takes upwards of four hours. You should probably allow about six hours. It is preferable that you do the tour on a sunny day. San Francisco is famous for it's fog and if the fog is rolling in, it will affect the ability to do the tour. If it is a foggy day, plan to do the tour on another day. You will need comfortable walking shoes and your own car. You will need 3g or WiFi for the links provided. If you are lucky enough to have two days in San Francisco, I recommend that you do the tour on the first day to get oriented and then spend the entire second day at Fisherman's Wharf. If you have three days, I recommend picking a museum or two. There are other apps that can offer other suggestions beyond that. My app is really for those that only have ONE day and want to squeeze as much into that one day as possible.
