Smarty Mass Spectrometer It all started in the 7th grade, the Proctor & Gamble company donated a used Mass Spectrometer machine in our local Junior High. Science class became real and we even got to bring gasoline to school -- to analyze it of course! Alas, that machine was the size of a dining room table, cost several hundreds of thousands of dollars new. Not something you can carry in your backpack. Then Steve Jobs unveiled the iPhone. Lightbulb moment! Combine a mobile computer with some Objective-C and C code. Add a base to safely store your sample. And the Smarty Mass Spectrometer was born. If you are reading this, you've already bought the app. You can either build your own base, or order one from Smarty. Copyright © 2009-2012, SmartyShortz, LLC All Rights Reserved.
